ELIX to Install the Netherlands’ First Large-Scale Flow Battery This Summer

This summer, ELIX—designer and builder of complete energy systems—will install the Netherlands’ first large-scale flow battery. The system has a service life of at least 25 years without capacity degradation. Power Storage Solutions supported the selection of CellCube’s vanadium flow battery technology. The system will be deployed specifically for peak shaving and PV shifting, reducing pressure on the grid while maximising the use of solar energy.
