Supply security strengthened with a Vanadium Flow battery

At its Bochum site, Nagel-Group has commissioned a CellCube battery storage system to make more efficient use of solar energy. The battery stores surplus energy generated by the large rooftop PV installation and supplies power when cooling, electric transport or internal logistics require it. This enables Nagel-Group to increase its own consumption of renewable energy, reduce peak loads and strengthen the reliability of supply for temperature-sensitive processes. The solution is expected to deliver savings of up to €450,000 in electricity costs per year and serves as a scalable example for other logistics sites within the group.
